What does Mike Filsaime have in common with Britney Spears?
I’ll give you a hint: It’s not the pigtails, cleavage or school-girl skirt.
The cold machine-like PR tactics of popstars
Britney Spears is a PR machine. She records a song, films a video, goes on tour around the globe and sells thousands of DVD’s of that tour. Meanwhile, she gets married and remarried, forgets her underwear and shaves her head. Now, that’s a tough act to follow!
Mike Filsaime is a PR animal. He writes up a business plan, distributes a newsletter, records a phone-call, does a seminar and sells thousands of DVD’s of that seminar. Meanwhile, he gets in touch with a few associates, pulls out the scare tactics and defuses all doubts, while calling you to action.
The cold machine-like PR tactics of internet marketers
So the tactics are definitely different, but the strategy is identical in its typicality. While Spears utilizes her personal life for PR leverage (such tactics are not useful in the online-marketing business), Filsaime pulls no stops with “traditional” internet marketing, when it comes to “The 7 Figure Code”:
- Have you read a newsletter the past week, that didn’t link to Filsaime’s sales pitch?
- The all too familiar scare tactics: “Everything you may be doing right now is probably a big waste of time when it comes to building your online business.”
- The adjoining trust-building tactics: “Can I have your permission to talk to you like a “Big Brother” or trusted advisor?” Talking in the first person. (See above examples.)
- Taking care of doubts: “If you never heard of me, feel free to click here to see my screen shots”.
- And taking care of any other idea that might have been planted in your head, in the past two weeks: ” you may feel you are too busy to read this report right now because it is a “Distraction”…”
- Of course, the testimonials and free samples (“value of $97″) and opt-in box and call to action and creating urgency…It’s all there.
Really good advise is free
Like a female in a department store- Get your free samples and get the hell out of there!
Just to make things clear, I never bought the product and never tested it. My opinion is solely based on the video samples, on the sales page. What is said on the videos is not revolutionary. It’s been said millions of times before. The genius of Mike Filsaime (and many other multi-million-dollar marketers) is the re-branding and creation of urgency to their products. Once again, I will stress:
You can get this information for free. Just make sure you take every opportunity to do so:

- Watch free videos.
- Go through my free Hotlist (new on the sidebar): It’s a list of my favorite marketers’ blogs, who may send a lot of hypie crap, but have my highest count of useful free tips. (Personal note: I am not making any money through these links!)
As far as Mike Filsaime’s “7 Figure Code” goes ![]()
A none-creative product and an even less creative sales pitch.
